Adult Karate - Ages 12 and
up
Classes for ages twelve through adult focus on three key elements of
martial arts training; physical, mental and finally, the spiritual aspects
of the arts.
A disciplined, structured atmosphere emphasizes the development of the
students' character. Along with basic karate kicks, strikes,
blocks and punches, strong emphasis
is placed on learning Kata (forms) and kumite (sparring). Through their
karate training, students receive the benefit of exercise for the development
of their bodies.
In addition to the healthy benefits derived through their training, they
may also begin to see positive changes in their personal
lives and attitudes. Their lives may become more disciplined,
balanced, and less stressful. As students
progress through the belt rankings, they learn to apply these concepts
in both their training and their personal lives.
